Thaddaeus in Missions.

In February of 2024 I found out I would be graduating early then I first excepted. I knew God was calling me to missions and to the nations. So being a good YWAMer I went to Ywam.org and started reaching out to bases. I reached out to 7-8 bases, one of the bases that got back to me was in Cambodia. I had gone to Cambodia in 2020 before my DTS, and I grew so much in my faith, it was during that trip that I felt the Lord tell me to do my DTS. Needless to say I though this was God’s plan; The representative from that base told me, that they would like to meet me before I joined there staff. I was invited to attend YWAM Together 2024 in Manila, Philippines. From February to that September I prayed that God would lead me and that he would guide my path. When it can time for the conference I knew that people weren’t just gonna come up and talk to me so I just was bold and started connecting. During check in I saw this guy he had a Rainier R sticker on his bag, which is a local symbol in the Puget sound area. I go up and talk to him and ask him “Are you from Washington?” He said yes and asked me what part of Washington I was from and I give the typical Washingtonian answer and say “A small town you never heard of, but I’m from Sumner.” it turned out that he two was from the area going up between Sumner and Enumclaw. He tells me about Fire & Fragrance South Africa, and I was like wow this sounds cool. As the conference continues I believe God was setting divine appointments because I kept meeting people from Africa or who serve in Africa, including the base leader of the Namibia base, leaders a base in Tanzania. I never really got a chance to meet up with he Cambodia team but I was able to attend more African missions meetings, and I really felt God put a burning in my heart for Africa. By the end of the conference I was called to Africa, and through prayer I felt God tell me “South Africa is the gate way to all of Africa.”
